Shannon DaltonPRESIDENTShannon (she/her) is earning her M.Ed with a multiple-subject credential in order to foster inclusivity in early education. Knowing first hand the struggles LGBTQ+ students face, she hopes to use her time as an elementary teacher to do what she can to see that children grow up with empathy, give support to those who need it, and promote diversity in education!

COLE VITOLANOCo-PresidenTCole (they/him) loves hearing, sharing, and creating stories. He studies English literature at NU and is working on a fiction manuscript for his Honors program. Between reading and writing regularly, he volunteers locally & online, hosts D&D sessions, or is trying to make art. He can always be found with his BFF and Amstaff, Sophie.

STEPH ALLENVICE PRESIDENTIf Steph (they/them) isn’t in front of a computer screen playing video games, programming, or making digital art, they are probably working on their dirt bike. They are in the Computer Science program and have a passion for computers but mostly for video game design. They are currently working on a large-scale mobile game that they hope to release next year.

Anthony PinedaSponsorS & STAFF ADVISORAnthony (he/him) is National University’s Corporate Partnerships Director. He holds a BA in Sociology, and an MS in Organizational Management. He serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and is proud to be a staff advisor for the Pride@NU student club. His mission is to support the awareness and inclusiveness of the LGBT community at NU through events and SafeZones facilitation.

Julia L. McMillanFOUNDER & STAFF ADVISORJulia (she/her) is a queer woman who is proud to be the founder (2017) and staff advisor of PRIDE@NU. Julia is both an alumnus (M.S. Higher Ed Admin) and an employee of National University, as well as a member of NU's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Julia is especially excited to explore the unique opportunities for LGBTQ+ staff, faculty, and students in online and asynchronous learning.
